Ron Shannon began his career with Flint Canada Inc. in 1956 and moved through the ranks to become company President in 1979. Ron was a visionary leader in the quality management revolution that swept the industry in the 1980s and 1990s. Ron raised the bar, and changed the way Flint Canada did business by implementing new, innovative quality and service standards. Ron left the organization in 1998 after the company was acquired by SCF Partners of Houston, TX, USA.

Ron has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Oil Well Drilling Contractors, the Quality Council of Alberta, the Oilfield Contractors Association, and as a member of the Petroleum Services Association of Canada. He served as Chairman of the Canada Eurasia Energy and Industry Alliance (CEEIA) for five years and served on its Board of Directors for an additional three years. Ron also chaired the Energy Sub-Committee for Canada on the Canada and Russia International Economic Commission for three years. He was a long term member of The Executive Committee (TEC), an international organization dedicated to increasing the effectiveness of CEO's. Ron is a graduate of McTavish Business College and has completed studies at the Banff School of Advanced Management and the American Management Association.

Ron is the founder of Flint Eurasia Ltd. He recently retired as President and currently leads the organization as Chairman of the Board. Ron is also a founder and Chairman of the Board of Strike Energy Services Inc.
