Tools for safety

• Safety Handbook
  After their new employee orientation is completed, each STRIKE worker is provided with a pocket safety handbook for ongoing reference and review of our policies at any time. The handbook is made readily available to all workers, and it is reviewed and updated on a regular basis by senior managers and executive to ensure it is current at all times.
• Safety Meetings
  Monthly general safety meetings are held in each area office to review safety statistics, safety observations recent incidents, lesson’s learned from incidents and any present safety concerns for the area. In addition, daily tailgate meetings are held on each job site for review of daily activities, safety hazards policies and any concerns before starting the work day.
• Safety Training
  Comprehensive safety training is provided to employees and includes programs such as Basic First Aid, CPR, defensive driving, WHIMIS, H2S Alive and so on.
• Behaviour Based Safety Program
  Safety Observation Cards are provided to all workers to encourage the observation and reporting of both positive safety situations and potentially hazardous actions. This program increases safety awareness and has been proven to reduce incidents on the job site.
